USA Karate Training Programs
LI'L CHAMPIONS
USA Karate has a unique LI'L CHAMPIONS Program (formerly called "Rangers") which is specfically designed for students ages 4 to 7. Our classes are engaging so that students learn to focus and learn that it is fun! Our specifically designed belt system breaks down the task of learning into smaller steps so that students will feel more accomplished and better about themselves. Our core values of teaching include listening, respect, improved coordination and sharing.
YOUTH AND TEENS PROGRAM (ages 8-13)
Our youth program focuses on building self-esteem and self-confidence in children. We make it fun so students want to train! At USA Karate we believe that karate is one part of a complete education. That means we stress academic achievement, social development, and leadership ability along with physical training. Sensei Faust's encourages children to have a great attitude at the dojo (martial arts school), at home and at school. Martial arts at our school teaches children to have respect for themselves and others.
ADULT PROGRAM
Martial Arts is one of the most powerful tools in creating positive change. Through the training you will not only condition your body but your mind as well. Your confidence will be built by self-discipline and you will achieve greater respect for yourself and others. You will become a more focused and motivated individual. You'll gain self-control and the ability to resolve conflicts without violence. It's amazing that you can develop all of these positive character traits and get in great shape too only with martial arts.
When you begin your training, your age, gender or current physical condition REALLY doesn't matter. Everyone begins with the basics and then naturally move towards more advanced techniques. You work at your own pace and training in martial arts is anything but boring. It's a high energy, fat burning, stress reducing super charged workout.
Lose weight, get in shape, increase flexibility, improve muscle tone & cardiovascular endurance, relive stress while learning self defense and the age old art of Karate!
FAMILY PROGRAM
Separate classes for children and adults available simultaneously or train together as a family! Over 50% of our students share the study of Martial Arts with part or all of their family. Family members use Karate as an opporunity to work together toward common goals while focusing on family values like respect for self and others, cooperation and teamwork.
Tai Chi
Called "meditation in motion" by many, Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art style emphasizing fluid motion, breathing techniques, and meditative focus. Our classes are led by Dr. Stephen Hwa, who began his Tai Chi studies in 1974 with Grand Master Young Wabu, a student of legendary master Wu Chien Chuan. In addition to teaching at USA Karate, Dr. Hwa teaches Tai Chi to students and staff members at the University of Buffalo. More information about him and his program is available at his web site: www.classicaltaichi.com.
