Halloween is here time for costumes, candy, & lots of excitement! To make sure your night is both fun & safe, here are some simple tips that can keep everyone smiling until that very last treat.
### 1. **Plan Your Route**
If you’re trick-or-treating, plan out your route ahead of time. Choose well-lit neighborhoods, & stick to familiar streets. This makes it easy to stay together & lets everyone focus on the fun without worry.
### 2. **Brighten Up Your Costume**
In the spirit of Halloween, many costumes are dark & spooky, but it’s important to stay visible to drivers. Add reflective tape to costumes, & carry flashlights or glow sticks. They don’t just keep you safe—they add to the Halloween vibe!
### 3. **Check Candy Before Digging In**
While it’s tempting to dive into the candy stash, take a minute to check treats BEFORE eating them. Make sure wrappers are intact, & avoid homemade treats unless they’re from someone you like, know & trust.
### 4. **Stick to Sidewalks**
Wherever possible, use sidewalks & crosswalks. If there’s no sidewalk, walk facing traffic & keep a close eye out. Remember: running from house to house might be faster, but walking is safer!
### 5. **Keep Costumes Safe & Comfortable**
Make sure costumes are the right length to prevent tripping & that masks don’t obstruct vision. For a comfortable night, opt for face paint over masks and sturdy shoes over costume shoes.
### 6. **Travel in Groups**
There’s safety in numbers, & it’s way more fun, too! Whether you’re trick-or-treating with family or friends, sticking together keeps the experience fun & safe.
Halloween is about making memories, not mishaps. By following these simple tips, you’ll be all set for a fantastic Halloween night filled with fun, frights, & tons of treats!
